Architect: Rogers Krajnak Architects
Owner: Mid Ohio Foodbank
After conducting multiple designs and budgeting exercises for renovation to its existing building, Mid-Ohio Foodbank was fortunate to fall upon an opportunity to purchase a former warehouse located in Grove City, Ohio. Ruscilli’s preconstruction team worked with the design team to establish a plan to renovate the existing warehouse into an energy efficient office and distribution building which exceeded the Owner’s needs yet still fell within their budget. In order to make this 205,000 square foot renovation project Gold level LEED certified, our team implemented the necessary upgrades to obtain the LEED Gold certification goal. While gaining the efficiency of a LEED project, the new building also gained the status of becoming a Level One Emergency facility. This project obtained LEED points for water efficient landscaping, construction waste management, low VOC materials and several other features.
