Ruscilli Construction was selected to transform the historic Buckeye Building at 36 East Gay Street in downtown Columbus into a 100-suite Residence Inn by Marriott extended-stay hotel. Located within a dense urban environment, the adaptive reuse project required careful planning and coordination to convert the existing 16-story structure while preserving the character of one of downtown Columbus’s most recognizable historic buildings.

A centerpiece of the renovation was the creation of a dramatic four-story atrium that serves as the hotel’s lobby and gathering space, complemented by a high-end restaurant designed to enhance the guest experience. The project successfully blended historic architecture with modern hospitality amenities, transforming the former office building into a premier extended-stay destination in the heart of Columbus’s business and entertainment districts.
