MEAT PROCESSING FACILITY:
The White Castle meat processing facility in Vandalia, Ohio is an 83,000sf production plant constructed on a 20-acre site within the Stonequarry Crossings development. The facility includes specialized processing and packaging areas, testing laboratories, refrigeration equipment rooms, cold storage, and a 7,400-cubic-foot freezer with a spiral freezing system capable of reaching -40°F. Additional features include stainless steel piping systems, chemical rooms, and multiple loading docks, supported by a separate 1,700sf wastewater treatment structure. Designed for large-scale food production, the facility produces frozen hamburgers for retail distribution and achieved LEED® Gold certification.
MEAT PROCESSING PLANT:
This 39,000sf refrigerated meat processing plant was constructed to support White Castle’s production of flash-frozen hamburger patties, with systems capable of rapidly freezing product to -40°F. The facility includes integrated packaging and distribution areas, quality testing laboratories, and administrative office space, all designed to meet stringent FDA and USDA requirements for food processing operations.
BAKERY EXPANSION:
The White Castle bakery expansion in Central Ohio was completed in multiple phases
to increase production capacity and modernize operations. Phase one included a
24,300sf addition with 12,000sf of freezer space, new dock areas, staging space, and
supporting mechanical and electrical infrastructure. Phase two consisted of interior
renovations to accommodate replacement baking equipment, including new ovens,
proofers, and upgraded building systems. Phase three involved the renovation of
39,000sf of existing space and the addition of 2,600sf, including demolition, specialty
foundations, utility relocations, and structural steel modifications to support new
processing equipment.
