SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist other Estimators with takeoff (provide accurate takeoff for full projects up to $5M and provide trade specific take offs for packages upwards of $1M) assist other Estimators with initial and follow up phone calls to bidding Subcontractors, assist estimators in researching material specifications and locating distributors and installers.
Qualifications:
1 Years of experience in Large Multi-Family Affordable Housing/ Residential / HUD/ OHFA/ experience required.
Experience:
- Experience in Larger Multi-Family / Apartments / Senior Housing Estimating/HUD/OHFA
- Knowledge of current market pricing / unit pricing
- Ability to Lead, Create and Complete Entire Project Estimates
- Ability to research specified materials related to the project and find alternatives as required.
- Ability to develop Value Engineering Ideas and associated costs.
- Ability to develop preliminary preconstruction schedules.
- Understanding of Project Staffing and General Condition Requirements
- Strong Owner and Architect Relationships
- Strong Subcontractor Relationships
- Ability to compete detailed On-Screen Takeoff
- Set up qualified Subcontractor Bid Lists and willing to call the subs and get them to bid.
- Analyzing Bids and Scopes
- Preparation of presentation documents
- Ability to present cost information to a client in a professional manner.
- Review / Analyze and Correct Other’s estimates.
