Fortress Field

This new 250-acre complex, located at the former Columbus Motor Speedway in Obetz, Ohio, is the first facility in the United States designed specifically for the sport of rugby. The field also accommodates soccer, lacrosse, and football.

The 6500-seat 18,000 square-foot three-story castle-like stadium structure includes offices, concession stands and restrooms while featuring 160-foot tall light standards distributing up to 100 foot-candles of illumination. The complex also includes a large courtyard for events, concerts and festivals.

In addition to rugby, the stadium serves as the home field for the Ohio Machine Major League Lacrosse team.

Muirfield Village Golf Club

Perhaps the best testimonial for performance success is repeat business. Ruscilli has been privileged to serve the construction needs of Muirfield Village Golf Club (MVGC) for the past three decades.

This includes a 17,000 square foot addition/renovation to the Clubhouse involving locker rooms, men’s grille, weight room, whirlpool, steam room, caddie area, and pro shop expansion.

Thereafter, Ruscilli constructed a contoured multi-level Memorial Park and garden featuring significant hardscaping with serpentine stone walls showcasing numerous bronze plaques paying tribute to past Honorees of the Memorial Tournament.

To accommodate growing demand for overnight stays, the Club turned to Ruscilli to build The Lodge at MVGC. This 11,600 square foot country estate offers short-term luxury living for golf club members and guests and consists of 12 individual suites with spacious private patios, screened porches, fireplaces, bath areas, whirlpool tubs, sitting garden, and dense landscaping.

Subsequently, Ruscilli was asked to construct the Club Villas. Located directly on the golf course, the Villas cater to professional golfers competing at the Tournament and consist of six new four-bedroom residences that share a common gathering room for dining and relaxation. Two of the Villas offer full basements and connecting tunnel.

To meet the fitness needs of the Club’s membership, Ruscilli also completed a new co-ed Training and Fitness Center. This standalone building features a separate entry lobby, meeting space, fitness classrooms, cardio, weight training, and stretching area. The Center is complemented with both men and women full locker rooms, private steam rooms, and two treatment rooms. Below the Fitness Center, a new lower level cart storage facility was added consisting of cart storage space, club repair room, caddie locker, and break room.

Most recently, Ruscilli performed another major clubhouse expansion and renovation. This 16,000 square foot undertaking included two new food service areas, loading dock, bar, private dining, indoor and outdoor seating, fireplaces, clock tower, and renovations to Nicklaus Hall, the main dining room, and lower clubhouse level.

In preparation for The President’s Cup, Ruscilli completed a 20,000 square foot, three story corporate suites addition offering a new entry feature for the existing Pavilion building as well as lower level media center. The upper level features a covered open air rooftop providing panoramic views of the course while focusing on the 18th green. The incorporation of the corporate suites addition allows for an uninterrupted flow between the Clubhouse and Pavilion.
