Poindexter Village | Phase IIA and IIB
Columbus, Ohio
The Poindexter Development served as a cornerstone mixed‑use revitalization effort in Columbus’ historic Near East Side, transforming former brownfield sites into a vibrant, community‑centered neighborhood. At the heart of the project is a multi‑use building that not only provides essential residential services, such as leasing offices, community space, and a fitness facility, but also uniquely integrates three live‑work units designed to support small business ownership directly within the community. These units give residents the ability to operate storefront businesses from their homes, reinforcing economic mobility and enhancing walkability and neighborhood activity. Surrounding the mixed‑use hub are 36 garden‑style and townhome buildings encompassing 172 total units, all supported by generous shared outdoor amenities including expansive lawn spaces, three playgrounds, and a large community patio intentionally designed to foster interaction, engagement, and a renewed sense of place within the Poindexter neighborhood.
