Ruscilli has been privileged to serve the construction needs for White Castle Systems on several assignments.
In Zanesville, Ohio, Ruscilli constructed a 39,000 SF refrigerated meat processing plant including areas for production, packaging, distribution, freezer space, testing laboratory, and administrative offices.
In Evendale, Ohio, Ruscilli constructed a 24,000 SF expansion to White Castle’s existing bakery including 12,000 SF of freezer space, interior and exterior dock space, staging area, mechanical room, electrical room, and exterior site work for truck/trailer parking. One year later, Ruscilli was again called upon to perform multiple interior renovations to accommodate replacement of the bakery’s original equipment including new ovens, proofers, switchgear, and mechanical / electrical upgrades.
Most recently, Ruscilli completed a 83,000 SF frozen hamburger production plant on a greenfield site in Vandalia, Ohio. This new showpiece facility includes processing, packaging, refrigeration equipment rooms, spiral freezers (-40 degrees), cold storage space, multiple freezer rooms, chemical room, laboratories, stainless steel piping and tanks, and loading docks. The main building is also supported by a separate 1,700 square foot wastewater treatment structure. This project is currently registered with the USGBC and received Gold LEED® certification.
All of these projects were constructed to FDA and USDA specifications.
